Junk Carhartt Zipper On Coat

I bought this for a gift. The zipper doesn't..I can't return the item as it is now outside the return date. Who would of thought a gift needed for 3 months after I purchased it brand-new would have a junk zipper you can't use on the coat. Waste of money.

We have had a couple zero below days and this coat was perfect! I did not feel any wind go through the coat . Downfall? The side pockets are kindof narrow.I have small hands and they "just" fit.Also the hood is a bit stiff ( I know..I know..its a new coat,its gonna be stiff) and bulky BUT its detachable so thats a plus. This is one of the best winter coats I have ever bought and I doubt that I will ever buy something else now that I have invested in this one!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this jacket in need of a tough, full coverage jacket that I don’t have to worry about damaging—whether working with cows or chilling around a fire—and it has been AWESOME. At first I was a little worried about the “loose fit” as I’m rather petite and Carhartt already seems to run large (I’m about 5’3”/120 lbs), but I ordered an XS and it fits me perfectly (*cue sigh of relief*). My favorite feature of the whole jacket is the length! I HATE wearing a jacket just to have it lift my shirt, exposing my midsection. That’s completely avoided. The oooooonly criticism I have is the buttons: why they didn’t put snaps instead, we’ll never know, but it would’ve made much more sense. Still, I’m very happy with my purchase and would buy it again.

Great, Durable, Winter Coat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been eyeing this coat since last year and I bought this a few weeks ago as a coat that I could put heavier layers under. Most of my coats are on the snug side and heavy sweatshirts don't mix well. With this coat, there is more room in the arms and body, so layers are possible with room to spare. I'm in hockey rinks a lot with my kids and this is a perfect coat to keep me warm. I'm a petite small (5ft 2in) usually, and I ordered a small in black color, it runs true to size. The buttons on the wrist are nice because there are 2 buttonholes to choose from (looser or tighter), when I wear a thick sweater/sweatshirt underneath, I don't button them at all, and it is really comfy. I wasn't sure about the slits on the side of the hips, but after wearing it I think it's genius! The coat lays nicely on and you can sit without the coat pulling from the bottom. The only cons are: 1) some of the threads shed and the cotton material can attract lint, 2) the neck is a little slim, so if you have a heavy turtleneck on it feels tight. Great coat all around, super happy with the purchase.

Great Farm Coat Top To Bottom

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Due to Carhartt's "loose fit washed duck" I was not sure the fit would be right for me doing farm and outdoor chores. I am tall 5' 8" and about 140 lbs. I can layer underneath without creating too much bulk that might inhibit working or just go with a hoodie or fleece and not get overheated. The sherpa hood fits perfect over a knit cap or hoodie without pulling - and it is a wind blocker! The arm length is perfect, falling over my wrist, pockets, inside and out are attainable without issue, even with gloves. The longer tail back is awesome without bunching up as I get in and out of the gator or SUV. It has come up against fencing and tools that could have snagged or ripped the material, but this duck insulated coat holds up awesome! The insulation is quilted so it moves easily against layers. It repels water and dirt brushes off easily. I washed it before my first use, but it was soft yet sturdy out of the box. I live and work in western PA where weather can be in the teens, lots of snow or muddy conditions with rain. I would certainly recommend this coat whether you need a chore coat, or a go to for rodeo watching in outdoor arenas!
