Great Hart Mountain

This Columbia half zip is exactly what I need in 2026. Plenty of uses but mostly just wear to work. I love the light yet warm comfortability of the great hart half zip.

Not As Expected

Columbia messed up with this one, material sheds tons of lint after first wash; it’s so bad you can knit another shirt from it.

Buyer Beware - The Quality And Look Are Now Awfu

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] BUYER BEWARE - I buy a lot of Columbia products all the time. Never had a problem...until now. This one was a bust. I had one of these purchased at a Columbia factory store years ago. Same model name and features. Now bought this one online, and it's so different. (1) The inside material sheds all over anything you wear under it. Had to wash it 3 times before wearing and the dryer filter got clogged with tons of lint from the inside material. Even after washing 3 times, it still sheds. (2) The seams look awful - all uneven, the stitching and cutting. They look like it was made in someone's garage with dull scissors and inability to see. Seams are uneven and non-professional. I would hope this was a new run at an unfamiliar country not typically used...or Columbia's quality standards are sinking fast. I wanted to show photos, but this site would not allow.

Great For Any Cold Snap...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect zip up pullover that can be worn as is or over a shirt...super comfortable that has enough stretch for all sizes of men. Fantastic way to stay warm during any cold snap.

Fuzz. Fuzz Everywhere.

I'm really surprised this is rated so high by other customers. Buyer beware. Inside fleece sheds like crazy. It's almost comical how much it sheds. I even washed it (it left a freaking cake of fuzz in the dryer lint catcher) and it still covered any undershirt with a light coat of fuzz. I had to go through the warranty program and they wouldn't refund my money, which is what I wanted, but they did give me a store credit. Now I'm looking for what to get instead and am a bit wary.

Fleece Sheds And Is Itchy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like the way it looks. It fits well and the color is nice. However, I'm disappointed in the quality. First time i put it on, i was wearing a white shirt under it. When i took it off, my white shirt was COVERED with fleece residue. So i turned the fleece inside out and washed it and died it. The lint guard was comically full of dark fleece. It doesn't shed anymore, but you shouldn't have to do that. And on top of all that, the thing itches like crazy if you wear it with short sleeves under it. TLDR: go with Patagonia instead. Far superior product.

Lovely Zip

i bought this for my dad. he's about 5'3 and 120lbs - a guy of a small stature. i got it in S, his usual size in jackets/tops (sometimes a M if he wants a looser fit). i think this will fit him well - if it shrinks there may be concerns (i still think it'll fit him) but overall, it seems only a smidge big for a small, but i assume that's where the drying and shrinking comes in. the sleeves are pretty roomy so i think you should be good to layer with this.

Shrinks When Washed

Don’t do what I did. Returned larges and got mediums as the larges unwashed seemed way too large. Once I received my medium replacements that fit great unwashed, I washed them (following washing/drying instruction) and all three shrank. Now useless. So keep the size you normally wear and don’t second guess.

Comfortable And Warm

Very comfortable and warm. I would recommend and may even buy more myself.

It's Too Big!

It's too big compare to other Columbia half zip sweatshirt, usually Im size large. I'm 6"0' and 190 lbs.I'll be returning it!

Do Not Put In The Dryer :(

I just got it, it fit well, washed and partially dried it and it shrunk! Now I need a diet to be able to fit comfortably

Warm & Comfortable!

I bought this as a gift for my husband. He likes it so much we are getting another one. It is a roomier fit than the North face one I also bought for him. He likes being able to wear a thick henley under this one.
