I bought these a few weeks ago for my bike rides, and ended up using them in a sudden Texas thunderstorm with very intense rain. These kept my shorts under bone dry! They did a better job than my jacket from another brand. Consider me very impressed!

Bought to wear while snow-blowing. Keeps the snow from sticking to the clothes that I wear to keep warm. Worked very well. Runs large, but I'm wearing it over two layers of clothing so that worked great.
