Great Mat!

This is a great mat for a great price. It stays put, the material doesn't flake off, it's thick enough but not too thick and my hands and feet don't slide around. Very comfortable and vibrant colors.

Paint Bleeds! Do Not Purchase!

Not happy! i just opened up a studio in Feb and the paint on EVERY mat is bleeding and rubbing off on my new studio floors, on my students hands, feet and clothing! I've already communicated this to customer service and told them that someone in charge should be aware as it cannot be healthy. Not sure if anyone did anything but I do not want anyone having the same issue with these. I have to replace these mats, I cannot continue having classes with these, its bad for business!

Great Beginner Mat

This mat is perfect for those who want to start an at-home yoga practice, but don't want to spend a lot of money to do so. This mat is lightweight, easy to carry, and has ample cushion (even for sensitive joints). I have used this mat for over two years now, and it has taken me from a novice experimenter to a devoted yogi. However, as I have deepened my practice and begun to do more sweaty flows, my hands started slipping almost constantly.

Not As Cushiony As I Hoped

I have a Gaiam yoga mat that has seen better days. Bought another one (5 mm) thinking it would be of the same quality and thickness. Very disappointed that it isn't as thick as my older one. I have to put a garden pad under my hip when doing side planks because there isn't enough cushion. A positive is that the mat is very easy to keep clean, easy to put in my yoga bag and I like the color combo (blue/grey). Another positive about Gaiam mats they do last a long time. My original mat is close to 14 years and just started to break down a few months ago. And I use my mat 3 times a week.

For Hot Yoga, You Might Want A Stickier Mat

I only go to hot yoga and this mat was way too slippery. I used it once and I don't think I will use it again, unfortunately. It's a great mat, just not made for the kind of yoga I prefer.

I used the mat once and had to use towels to keep me stationary. I was advised by your customer service to clean it then try again but due to the material with which its made, it will be slippery. I don't understand why a yoga mat would ever be slippery. I'm going to continue to clean it and perhaps I will fair better in the future.

Good Mat Thickness

It is a replacement mat for one that was peeling. The company was very good about replacing the other mat. It is a little more slippery than I would like as new, but has a really good feel, is wearing in well, and is light to carry around.
