This bamboo stuff is the REAL DEAL. I've been a merino wool girlie, but I saw that this blend had a lower temp range (-30F) and I'm not out here trying to freeze. Let me tell you - not only was I warm, but I fell off a mountain (RIP winter, terrible snow conditions) I popped off both my skis and slid down probably 600 ft of vertical on my butt before the pitch leveled out enough to stop me. I had bits of ice and snow in places I didn't even realize were exposed enough to get into - down my pants, up my shirt, under my helmet, in my boots, etc. This bamboo set was fully dry within 30 mins. Idk what wizardry is in the fabric but it works. If you're on the fence - buy it (ps. I am amazingly uninjured however I don't think that was the baselayer's doing)

Fit, color, and style are great. I wore this once and it unfortunately pilled, even before washing. I purchased the merino base layer as well and I’m hoping it does not do the same!

Super soft and great fit. Love the raglan sleeves and sleek mock-neck. Wish I could get it in cream, gray or white.

I sadly found this to be very itchy and uncomfortable :(

It’s soft and breathable and most of all I love the color. It doesn’t compress the stomach or leg area.

I’m obsessed with this top as a base layer in the winter. It is so sleek and flattering/fitted. I wore as a base layer while skiing and it was perfect since it’s so breathable but keeps your neck covered and can be layered with a mid layer if it’s really cold. Just your sleek black winter staple top that is also functional!

This is my third set of Ruths -- I love them that much. I primarily ski in Tahoe so I'm looking for some warmth and lots of sweat wicking and these deliver without being itchy like so many other base layers. These are so soft and stretchy -- they're just the best! You should not though they are thin enough that you really cannot get away with wearing them by themselves.

I liked this too, but chose not to keep it because it was a little tight. I ordered the same size for the pants & top (my regular size) and the pants were too big but the top was really tight. It felt too restrictive and it made the high neck uncomfortable. I would try again in a different size, though. The material was nice

I love the look of this top, it is exactly what I have been looking for in a base layer. At first I found the material a little scratchy but I quickly got used to it. I had to drop the rating a few stars however because after wearing it about 4 times (washed it twice and let it air dry) the seems are coming undone in multiple places.

Soft and comfortable. Not as warm as some of the other base layers I own. Also runs short and rides up a bit. Good for warmer days on the mountain but not great for colder days unless you have a lot of layers.

I bought this and love that is lightweight and warm. it allows lots of movement and I have skied and played tennis in it. My only complaint is that the stitching on the hem of the sleeve has come undone and I have only used it for one month. Without this problem, it would be 5 stars for sure. I would consider purchasing again but am wary of the stitching coming undone.

They arrived smelling like gas or another chemical. Halfdays replaced them for me and I assumed it was a fluke but the second pair smelled the same. They must be made with something that causes this odor which is concerning. The material is soft and fits well but I am not sure about this smell...
