Defective Lace Loops On An Otherwise Good Shoe
My son really likes these shoes and I like that they’re higher on the ankle (why do almost all basketball shoes have a running shoe profile now??), but we’re having the same problem as others with the defective lace loops. The first pair arrived with a detached lace loop so I exchanged them. The lace loop became detached on the second pair after 4 weeks of using them 2-3 times per week. The problem is that the lace loops consist of a single wire running along the shoe opening, which is stitched to the upper periodically to make loops. This stitching is the weak point that detaches, even though the wire is fine. They would have been fine with lace holes or the individual fly wire lace loops. It’s too bad because they’re one of the few decent mid-height basketball shoes available right now.

Great... Pause Not
Amazing shoe for the first hour or so, then like many before the loop holding the laces broke and next season that broke the actual lace. Bummed because they are really comfy

Don’t Buy
Don’t buy, the laces will pull out the holes they go through. Literally on first wear.

Laces Break Out Of The Box
Do not buy this shoe. Even after reading the reviews I pulled the trigger. As soon as I took the shoe out of the box, the lace popped off like other reviews.

Laces Holders Broke Easily
ankle support, legendary grip, springy air bubble under toes, these shoes are exactly what a basketballer would want if it were not for the lace holders ripping because the company famous for flywire thought some cute strings were a good idea instead.

Shoelace Straps Broke After Wearing Only 3 Times.
Bought shoes for my son. Shoelace straps ripped after only 3 practices. He was so excited about these shoes, and now very disappointed he needs to find another style.

Fatal Design Flaw Ruins An Otherwise Great Shoe!
Terrible design. These shoes are comfortable, well-built, and look great… BUT the lace holders don’t hold up! First pair we ordered arrived used and the lace holder was broken. Thought it was odd, so returned and replaced with the same pair. New pair was actually new, but my son wore them for 6 days before the same thing happened to the new ones. This is not an anomaly - it’s a fatal design flaw. Super disappointed.

Issue With Laces ** They Will Rip Off
love this shoe design. but there is a MAJOR problem. the laces attach to the shoe via a ribbon sewn to the shoe NOT traditional shoe lace holes. THE RIBBON/LACES WILL RIP OFF THE SHOE. It's not if, it's when! If you're buying these to actually play basketball in be aware it will happen. It took about 2 months / 20 games for it to happen to us.

Lace’s Loops Defect
Comfortable shoe, but lace’s loops are starting to break like most others. Is Nike going to correct the problem and offer replacement? Seems like a manufacturer defect.

Flawed Lace Construction, Love That It's A True High Top
I love it that Nike actually makes a shoe with ankle support! They need to make more!! However the eyelets for the shoe laces broke on two different pairs of this model. The first time it happened after three days of wearing them during his first game. The second time it broke after only a week and a half. I love the look of the shoe but go back to the punch hole lace eyelets. You need to tie your basketball shoes tight in order to provide proper ankle support. That is why we are all buying high tops in the first place.

Do Not Buy.
I wish I could give this a 0. After a long time wearing Curry retros I was kind of forced back to Nike, since they don't make those anymore. Lebron's are the highest shoe with ankle support. What a joke. As everyone else says do not buy these. Run..... far away. Or at least as far as you can get before the loops all rip where the laces go. These pictures were from wearing them only 3 times.
