About This Item
The Vaporfly 4 is a lean, mean, mile-eating machine. Nike® trimmed weight in the midsole, outsole and upper from the Vaporfly 3 without sacrificing performance. The result is a lighter, more propulsive all-around racing shoe that’s trusted from the mile to the marathon.
What’s New:
A higher angle of the plate and lower heel-to-toe drop compared to the Vaporfly 3 give you an improved propulsive feel
Upgraded Nike® ZoomX foam provides even more energy return than before thanks to a slight midsole reduction, giving you a bouncy, feathery feel
Nike® reduced the weight of the outsole by using a thinner rubber compared to the Vaporfly 3, eliminating unnecessary thickness
Design:
Engineered mesh offers improved comfort and a disappearing feel on your foot, reducing the weight of the shoe while supplying a more consistent fit
The handwritten number on the midsole salutes the wear-testers who put these shoes through our rigorous test process to give you the best performance possible
Reduced weight on the inside of the foot to give you a more stable ride
In-Shoe Comfort:
A full-length carbon fiber Flyplate provides a propulsive, racing feel
ZoomX foam runs heel to toe to give you a springy, bouncy feel
Durability & Traction:
Waffle outsole pattern with perforations saves weight and delivers multi-surface traction in various weather conditions
Additional Details:
Heel-to-toe drop: 6 mm

Bad Durability, Even Worse Complaints Service
After 4 runs in total 72km the shoes fell apart. As a first impression was great durability very bad. Also complaints service very poor leaving me without racing shoes 3 weeks before marathon.

Love The Shoe, Hate That Adhesive
I love these shoes so much, and I hate the fact that they start falling apart after about a week of running. The bottom soul starts to unglue. I’ve started realizing that Nike has had a problem with their soul and cushioning starting to squeak or unglue from the shoe and I wish they went back to their other adhesive

Very Nice And Fast Shoes!
I bought these a few weeks ago and I really like them. They have a very bouncy feel and my feet do not get hot at all! I do want to point out that after you run a few miles the bottom of the shoe might have a few scratches on the foam but this isn’t something to worry about. Overall a very fun experience and can’t wait to see the next version

Seam Caused Severe Blister On Long Run
I’ve been a loyal Nike runner for years, but the Vaporfly 3 has been a real disappointment for me. On a recent longish run, I developed a pretty severe blister on the arch/inner side of my foot, something I’ve never experienced before. The irritation was bad enough to affect my stride and cut the run short. Looking at the shoe afterward, it seems like the upper and/or internal structure creates a pressure point in that exact area. Note the seam placement.... what is that? how does it make sense? For a shoe at this price point, designed specifically for long-distance performance, this is a major issue. Comfort and reliability over longer mileage should be a given, not a gamble. I really wanted to love this shoe the ride feels fast but the fit and upper construction just didn’t hold up for me. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t trust it for longer runs or races again.

Better Than I Expected!
Never been a fan of Nike running shoes. These were on sale and I was looking for a 5k-10k racer. Took a chance because of the sale price. I was pleasantly surprised that they fit my slightly wider than average foot well. The weight and energy return with each step make running at fast paced a breeze.

Shoe started to fall apart after one week of running. Wouldn’t recommend this model and not trying another pair, went with vomero plus.

Wanted To Really Like Them
I really wanted to like them but they just don't provide the ankle support or overall comfort. While extremely light it comes at a cost. The top, sides and back is super thin polyester. The bottom provides great impact support and does feel very comfortable on the sole but there is more to a foot then the bottom. How it hugs your foots, ankle, side and top are equally if not more important. I am coming from running in Adidas Ultraboost running shoes for the past five or so years. I will be going back as they are phenomenal shoe.
