Runs Small But Does Stretch

I realized last minute that I need shoes for a trip. After some debate, I ordered my regular size of 8.5. These were TIGHT. If I had tried them on in store, I would have gone up half a size. However, despite this, they were still oddly comfortable. I didn't have time to exchange and had no other options for shoes, so I wore them. Having had them about 3 weeks now, they are broken in. Still snug but not uncomfortably so. I mainly only notice it when I first put them on but completely forget about it wearing them. I would be interested in eventually trying a half size bigger to compare. But in every other way, they are amazingly comfortable! I'm planning on another pair soon!
