Excellent Baitcasting Reel

Great quality but just couldn’t use it. I’m used to spincaster and wanted to try out a baitcaster. I would constantly get birdnest and wasn’t fun to use. I did return it.

First Baitcaster For 12yo

Bought as my sons first baitcaster. He has been doing well learning how to use/dial in the settings. I recommend getting 15-20lb braided to limit the bird nest.

Know What You’re Buying!

It catches fish! I bought this about a week and a half ago. All of my fishing combos are back how way out of state. I came across this one and bought it just to get out in the water. I’ve taken it out every day since I got it. It casts pretty well, and the rod is good for the overall cost. The sensitivity is good, you can feel everything under the water. Most bad reviews are on the backlash. But if you set your brakes around 8 and then tighten your tension knob, hold your rod up at a 45 degree angle and click the button. Slowly loosen your tension knob until your bait slowly lowers to the ground and can land without birds-nesting. That is how you calibrate for each lure. I’ve had 0 issues other than operator error a couple times. It’s not perfect. But I didn’t spend $200 on it so I knew what to expect and how to use it properly. Always inspect your gear and take care of it. Cheap or expensive.
