I grew up playing with the Tachis, and I thought it would be good for my two beginners, but it was too hard for them and I ended up returning it.

Hard To The Touch.

I purchased the Tachikara brand for my volleyball team to try. We didn't like it because of its hard surface, no "give" when using it in any part of volleyball. Notice the hardness most when serving and setting. The seams hold together well.

Bad Quality

I used this volleyball twice for recreational fun and it is already falling apart. It is ripping at the seams.

This ball is great for practice. It's not too hard, and has the right feel of an average volleyball. Tachikara is a good brand and I'd recommend it. Tachikara's Volley Lite is better for beginners (it's a softer ball), but this volleyball is a nice quality ball.

Bought this as a pracice ball fo my daughter who is a beginner. I should have sprung for the better ball. This one is pretty hard, when you hit it it has that "ping" of a lesser quality ball.
